As discussed via email, attached is a patch to replace Markdown Plugin implementation to use MarkdownJ instead of calling Markdown Perl script.
The patch is made to MarkdownPlugin class on the current core location, please move it to add-on as necessary.

Updated code in CVS. Added MarkdownJ JAR file. Plugin moved to add-ons.
